A Visual Playlist

This week we’ve swtiched it up a bit…

Check out our first visual playlist, where we put together some of our favorite music videos. The criteria: made after 2000, and personal preference. Thanks to some great suggestions, here are 20 of the best videos out there, in no particular order:

Some comments:

The Avalanches – Subways:

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video, but I never get tired of it. My favorite part is where the doors open and the inside of the train is just filled with green cats. Each scene is so cute and transitions to the next in perfect harmony with the music, making it really engaging and fun to watch. – Andrea Tabora

Solange – Cranes in the Sky:

When you first asked for suggestions, the first video that popped into my head was this one. It’s so beautifully shot and well done…it’s incredible! – Jessica Breznick

Ok Go – The One Moment:

What I love about this video is that it’s only like 5 seconds of footage, but they timed it perfectly. When it plays, they slow down the whole thing and throughout all of it the words match up to the image and its crazy!! – Gabriella Hurtado

A$AP Rocky – A$AP Forever:

What I love about this video is the way it was shot. I’ve never really seen anything like it and, while it can be a bit dizzying at first, it’s really incredible. The colors flow into one another so purposefully and the transitions are never choppy or forced. Definitely one of my favorite in the list. – Carlotta Verita
